Terms of use

These terms cover the use of natrix.live. Registering means you accept them. They are short because the service is small.

Last updated 18 August 2026.

What Natrix is

Natrix is a camper trip log with a map, van pages, a spot directory and an opt-in friends map. It runs in early access, free of charge, on one server. Expect downtime, expect bugs, and keep your own copy of any photo that matters to you.

There is no uptime promise and no promised feature. Anything described here can change or disappear while the service is free.

Your account

One person, one account. You are responsible for what happens under yours, so pick a password you use nowhere else. There is no self-service password reset yet, so a lost password means writing to the contact address and having an administrator reset it.

Accounts are for people aged 16 and over.

Your content

Photos and text stay yours. You grant us the permission needed to run the service: store the file, generate the three resized copies, and show them to exactly the audience you picked for that item. Nothing is licensed to anyone else, and nothing is used to train a model.

Setting a photo, van or trip to public means anyone on the internet can see it, and search engines will index the page. Set it back to private and the page stops resolving, but a copy someone already saved is beyond our reach.

Rules

Do not upload content you have no right to publish. Do not upload content that identifies other people without their agreement. Do not upload anything illegal in Germany. Spot entries have to describe real places, and a review has to describe a stay you actually had.

Automated scraping, credential stuffing and load that threatens the server are all out. The API is rate limited and the limits are not a challenge.

Moderation

Every photo, spot, review, van, check-in and profile carries a report button. Reports land in a queue an administrator reads. We may hide or remove content and suspend accounts that break the rules above, and we will say which rule when we do.

Storage limits

A free account holds 250 MB of photos and a single upload may not exceed 8 MB. Reaching the limit blocks further uploads until you delete something. The numbers exist because the disk is finite, and they move when the disk does.

Liability and law

Liability is limited to intent and gross negligence, plus the cases German law does not allow to be limited, such as injury to life, body or health. For a free service that is the honest position.

German law applies. If a clause here turns out to be invalid, the rest stays in force.
